GN Netcom 9120 wireless headset with flex boom mic.

You're working faster and trying to accomplish more. Like solving problems down the hall and interacting with everyone around you. And while most technology has evolved to meet your changing needs, your phone has not. It still ties you to your desk with a cord that’s holding you back in more ways than one. What you need is a communications solution that’s mobile—like you. The GN 9120’s next-generation wireless design gives you the freedom to think on your feet without cutting you off from your phone. Now you can be up to 300 feet away from your desk without being out of touch. The GN 9120 combines the sound quality and economic practicality of a landline with wireless freedom. It’s discreet and secure. And it allows you to multi-task, even when you’re on the phone.

As businesses expand beyond their own backyards, conference calls have become a way of life. Which means shouting into a speakerphone. Or listening to a voice that sounds like it’s coming from inside a tin can. The GN 9120’s multi-unit conferencing capability allows up to four headsets join a call. Granting access is easy and simple. Just place another headset in your charging station and press a button on your headset. And because the GN 9120 has a range of 300 feet, you can talk from virtually anywhere in the office once you’re connected. Calls are clearer, private, and completely secure.

GN 9120 Security:

What separates the GN 9120 from other wireless systems? Security. The GN 9120 uses the Digital Spread Spectrum (DSS) protocol, originally developed for secure military communications, transmitting on a frequency of 2.4 GHz, vs. the more common 900 MHz analog frequency. The 2.4 GHz frequency is newer and less crowded, offering superior signal with more clarity and less interference with other wireless devices, like WiFi networks.

To prevent eavesdropping, the GN 9120 features a multi-layered security system. First, the signal “hops” 90 times per second for security that’s virtually airtight. Second, 64-bit encryption scrambles your voice when it’s traveling between the headset and base station. And finally, the smart power management system controls the signal range. For instance, if you’re 15 feet away from the base, that’s as far as the signal broadcasts, protecting your voice from eavesdropping outside of that range.

GN 9120 Boom Features:
Turn your phone into a productivity tool. The GN9120 Wireless Headset System turns your conventional phone into a hands-free productivity tool, giving you the freedom to talk up to 300 feet from your desk and the power to hold wireless conference calls with up to four participants. It weighs about an ounce, and can fit comfortably on your ear or over your head. Batteries last up to eight hours and are easily replaceable. And smart power management draws less battery power when you’re closer to your base station, extending battery life. There are even three different boom options designed to fit your style.
