Please note:  Digitcom is no longer a ShoreTel dealer.  We were at one time but chose to discontinue our relationship with ShoreTel a couple of years ago.

The product is really good.  High end phone system quite suited to both small and large businesses.  It's a complete IP based system with a very strong level of redundancy. 

Digitcom's main challenge with the product was, and the primary reason(s) we stopped selling it:

 - all product was priced in US dollars to the dealer.  This made selling the product difficult because the product price became qute variable based on the Cdn / US dollar

 - we were assured when we signed on that they would have a CDN sales rep dedicated to the CDN market.  Although they have since hired someone to represent Canada, this person was hired long after we left ShoreTel

 - all product was (and I am not sure if it still is) shipped from the US.  There is no CDN distribution. True, when we signed on we knew this, but, we were told that this was being addressed

 - lack of familiarity of the brand in the country.

Listed below is a list of the feature set as provided by the ShoreTel product.  Keep in mind - WE DO NOT SELL this product any longer.  We now sell Avaya, Cisco, and hosted VoIP solutions.

3. ShorePhone telephones with beautiful sight, touch and sound ergonomics
4. ShoreWare Personal Call Manager desktop software for enhanced productivity
5. ShoreWare Director for end-to-end system management, including installation, administration, maintenance and call detail reporting.

Additional options depend upon your particular needs, and might consist of:

1. ShoreWare Operator Call Manager for operators and executive assistants
2. Optional ShorePhone BB24 devices, which provide 24 programmable buttons typically used by operators and executive assistants
3. ShoreTel Mobility solutions for your mobile workforce
4. ShoreTel Converged Conferencing for large audio conferences, as well as collaboration tools for application and desktop sharing, as well as instant messaging
5. ShoreTel Contact Center solutions for informal, formal and advanced call centers

If you are creating a multi-site configuration:

1. Simply use the same components as the ShoreTel system scales seamlessly and can be distributed across the network as a single image system
2. The new site simply needs additional ShoreGear voice switches and ShorePhone telephones
3. An optional local voice mail server can also be added for reliability and failover capabilities
