Audio Visual Project Manager

The Project Manager is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering corporate projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications. To achieve these important goals, the Project Manager will define project requirements and scope, acquire project resources, and supervise the efforts of project team members. Efficient delivery of project deliverables, effective quality control, clear communication of expectations to stakeholders, and upward reporting to senior management are critical tasks that must be performed throughout each projects lifecycle.

Job Duties

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of the company’s project portfolio, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities.
  • Design, implement, and supervise the implementation of all new system installations, expansions, modifications, and migrations,
  • Establish a Project Charter for each approved project, defining the projects goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure, milestones, and deliverables
  • Manage project activities throughout lifecycle, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and other factors necessary for success.
  • Plan all project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and micro-deliverables using the appropriate software tools and/or PM methods.
  • Organize project teams into suitable workgroups and guide the teams throughout their efforts to produce deliverables according to specification.
  • Negotiate with other business units to obtain required skill sets.
  • Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to stakeholders via a formal communications plan.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and forums in order to solicit feedback, input, and expectations; incorporate these into project plans.
  • Reallocate resources across multiple projects where necessary; identify and resolve any resource allocation discrepancies.
  • Produce regular reports (status, escalations, etc.) on the progress of projects; deliver these reports during regular stakeholder meetings.
  • Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary.
  • Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party workers, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associate work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk.
  • Manage project dependencies.
  • Conduct project post mortems in order to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings.

Requirements

  • 3 years of direct work experience in project management.
  • AV Project management is a MUST
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
  • Familiarity with […] project management software.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
  • Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.

Working Conditions

  • Travel is required.
  • Overtime as required.

Audio Visual Installation Technician

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the AV Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, repair and maintenance Audio Visual solutions based on client specification, standards, and procedures.

We are currently seeking an experienced Audio Visual Installation Technician.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair Audio Visual equipment onsite at Customer locations.
  • Decipher, diagnose, and solve problems from non-technical descriptions provided by the customer or internal staff.
  • Effectively complete complex service calls ensuring an atmosphere of professionalism and confidence.
  • Complete technical training to maintain a high level of technical knowledge and expertise.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in Audio Visual Installations
  • Must have CTS certification.
  • Client facing experience is essential.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work efficiently and proactively to meet deadlines.
  • 80% travel throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a AV Sales Engineer / designer to join our AV Team. The successful candidate will be an AV generalist with a minimum of 5-years experience in a commercial AV environment preferably in a design and engineering capacity. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of the AV integration process and principals of installation and be able to work in both a pre-sales and post-sales engineering / design role. Construction and AV Integration experience would be an asset. The successful candidate must be able to read and understand construction drawings, tender documents, be able to design AV solutions to meet our client’s needs and build the documents to support the integration process. They will work with our Sales team to develop solutions, scopes and budgets for projects. They will work with our project management team to execute the projects.
